The forest fires create a beauty of their own in their part of the natural world. Fire is one of the natural elements that create the balance of our world. One half of a year ago my neighbors were dealing with the opposing natural element water in the form of a flood coming down through the same valley that the smoke from the fire is now following.

We now have the renewal of the forest to look forward to, which is a reminder that life goes on. The wildflowers in subsequent years will be more prolific. Life will return and the cycle keeps turning. I try to find beauty in what might appear to be ugliness.
