Biography – The son of an artist, I have been taking photos since age 7. I’m a New York City based wildlife and nature photographer. Exploring nature is a great way to relax and a fine contrast to the concrete jungle I call home.
Image Description – I’ve been working on my On Colored Lake project for about 5 years. This year I’ve featured mallards as they have wonderful color themselves. Peek color still seems to be at least a week off here in New York City, so I found reflections of the trees that have turned at Oakland Lake and waited for my subjects to move into the reflection. This photo was taken while sitting on a bolder at water’s edge. I’ve processed the photo to bring out specific colors making the image look the way I recall seeing it in my viewfinder.
Location – Oakland Lake, New York City
Photographic Gear – Nikon D200, Nikon 80-400 VR @ 400mm, Tamron 1.4x SP TC @ 560mm, SB800, Better Beamer
Image Editing Software Used – Photoshop CS5
