Biography: What was just a way of documenting my vacation trip in 2009 have now become an art form and a way of expression. My goal with photography is to capture those amazing colors of the beauty of the world. Either traveling or at home, my camera is always an arm-length away.

Image Description – I’m going through a major withdrawal as I’m stuck here in Texas missing the mountains. Wishing I was outdoors, running, hiking, climbing, or just plan ole walking. This picture always gives me a piece of serenity. A rare view of the Alaska’s mountains of course still covered with clouds

Biography: I’m a landscape photographer in the DFW metroplex who loves photography and the outdoors.

Website – http://www.lauravuphoto.com

Image Description – As a wedding gift, my wonderful father gave us 2 tickets anywhere in North or South America. I have always wanted to go to Peru and Alaska, but I narrowed it down to the Last Frontier. We camped in Denali National Park and was lucky enough to finally see a glimpse of Denali from among the clouds (definitely the highlight of our trip) and then we went exploring at the Russian River Campground, Seward to see the glaciers, Anchorage, and some small towns here and there. Alaska was really unreal as it never truly gets dark in the summer, but it was always covered with heavy clouds, fog, or raining. Here is probably one image of the Alaska’s mountains that was somewhat visible. I took this picture the last day there.
