Biography – I’m a photographer specializing in dynamic landscapes. I’m consistantly drawn to interfaces in the natural world – whether that be where dynamic meets stationary or where biotic meets abiotic – these areas of interface make for the best photographs. I hope you enjoy checking out my images as much as I’ve enjoyed making them. I’ve just relocated to Northern California after finishing graduate school in Rhode Island and I’m constantly amazed by the variety of the landscape on this new and exciting coast.
Image Description – I had the opportunity to spend the afternoon at Garrapata State Park at the very northern end of the famous Big Sur section of the California Coast. I will take any opportunity I can to get down there, it’s just a different world compared to the Bay Area.
I spent most of the day just hiking around looking for probably compositions and settled on this one for sunset. It was sheltered from the biting wind and there was great access to the surf zone without being too exposed to rogue waves.
