Biography: I am a North Carolina photographer who enjoys shooting all things, but especially portraits and urban or rural decay–I love photographing people, or the interesting and sometimes strange things they leave behind.

Image Description – I have hiked a lot of places on the Eno River, but only very recently stumbled across this beautiful little spot. Aside from being photogenic, it’s an incredibly relaxing retreat from the city, with the chatter of the water drowning out the noise of nearby civilization.

Location – Durham, NC

Photographic Gear – 1DmkIII + 16-35 f/2.8L

Image Editing Software Used – N/A

Biography – I was on on-again-off-again shooter during the film days, with the Canon A-1 that my dad gave me. But since the Canon EOS 10D arrived, and I moved into the world of digital photography, there’s been no stopping me. Today I shoot primarily with my Canon EOS 5D Mark II, but I still have that old 10D (converted to infrared now).

I shoot nature, sports (hockey mostly), concerts, architecture, anything really. But the most enjoyment I get is when I wander off with just one camera and one lens and capture whatever I see.

Image Description –Every spring, when the snow melts, these amazing seasonal waterfalls come to life in Gatineau Park. The window to capture them is short, since once the snow is gone, they become just a trickle of water, or dry up completely.

This image is just a small portion of one of the larger spring waterfalls, along the Dunlop Trail.

Location – Gatineau Park, Gatineau, Quebec, Canada

Photographic Gear – Canon 5D Mark II, Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM, Manfrotto 055 XProB with 488RC2 head, 1/15s @ f/22 ISO 200 70mm
