Biography – I have 2 loves. Jesus Christ and Photography. God, being the source of my existence and to whom all I owe obviously comes first, but Photography is my passion after that. I just started back when I got my first DSLR (a Canon Rebel XS) in December 2008. Since then I have really dove head first into landscape photography and a bit of wildlife photography as well.
I feel like I’ve learned very quickly. This is due to reading a great book “Understanding Exposure” by Bryan Peterson that introduced me to the basics of exposing digital photographs as well as some hands on time with some great teachers, Stephen Oachs and Brian Rueb. Their workshops are hard to beat in quality and fun, and I plan to attend as many as my wallet will allow me to.
Image Description – This is shot I took this morning during my visit to Lower Antelope Canyon. Typically people go for those fancy light beam shots, but this is not the best time of year for that, so I focused more on the stone formations and the way the light colored the rocks. This is my favorite shot from the various ones I took there, and I hope you enjoy it too. Definitely go check this place out if you’re ever in Northern Arizona!
