Biography: I haven’t stopped shooting images since I was handed down a Mercury 35mm camera in 1966.

Websitehttp://www.GoSportPhotos.com

Image Description – The Palace Wreck is the remains of a Norwegian steel hulled brigantine that was forced onto a Grand Cayman Island reef during a storm in 1903. The wreckage is in very shallow water of about eight to ten feet. She is in very small pieces that provide a home for almost every sort of fish and invertebrate represented on the island. Some fish commonly observed here include puffer fish, scorpion fish, flying gurnards, stingrays, parrot fish, and juvenile lobsters. Much of the old rusting hulk remains above the water line, which makes her easy to locate as a beach dive.

Location – Grand Cayman Island

Photographic Gear – Canon 10D , 100-400L @ 400mm

Image Editing Software Used – Photoshop Elements

Website http://www.northeastlightphotography.com

Biography – Welcome to Northeast Light Photography. I am an amateur photographer originally from Red Wing, MN. I am transplanted in Connecticut, currently in my 13th year in the United States Navy. I reside in Griswold, CT with my wife, formerly Katie Hoisington of Red Wing and daughter Kaylin. I am stationed at Naval Submarine School in Groton, CT as a Fleet Responsive Training Instructor. I have completed tours on three operational fast attack submarines. Most of my photos are from the New England area due to my current career that pays the bills. I still occasionally get home to Red Wing. I take my photos using a combination of a Pentax Digital SLR, a Pentax film SLR, I primarily shoot landscapes, nature, and some architecture.

Image Description – This one of my favorite shots. Because since I took it, I have been back there numerous times, and haven’t been able to duplicate it. The mood, the light, the wave and sky texture. Everytime I set up to try to make the “magic” happen again, my feet get really wet. This shot was taken in the winter of 2009, at sunset, with a looming winter storm to the west. Watch Hill is a small “suburb” of Westerly, Rhode Island. This photo was taken from East Beach, a pristine public beach, with a great view of Watch Hill Lighthouse, and the Rhode Island Shoreline to the east.

Location – Watch Hill, Rhode Island

Photographic Gear – Pentax K10D, Tripod, SMC-DA* 16-50mm f/2.8 lens, ND .6 grad, C-PL, 2.5s at F/13, ISO100.
