Biography: I am a North Carolina photographer who enjoys shooting all things, but especially portraits and urban or rural decay–I love photographing people, or the interesting and sometimes strange things they leave behind.

Website – http://www.markschuelerphoto.com

Image Description – It is rare to get this much snow in North Carolina, and this year marks the first time we have had a White Christmas in my region in almost 70 years. I like how the snow simplifies a composition, and adds in new lines, textures, and geometry to a familiar landscape.

Location – Durham, NC

Website – http://www.interfacingnature.com

Biography – I’m a photographer specializing in dynamic landscapes. I’m consistantly drawn to interfaces in the natural world – whether that be where dynamic meets stationary or where biotic meets abiotic – these areas of interface make for the best photographs. I hope you enjoy checking out my images as much as I’ve enjoyed making them. I’ve just relocated to Northern California after finishing graduate school in Rhode Island and I’m constantly amazed by the variety of the landscape on this new and exciting coast.

Image Description – Woke up before sunrise to find almost a foot of fresh powder in Yosemite Valley. I visited the iconic “valley view” to find El Capitan draped in wondrous syrupy morning light.

Location - Yosemite National Park
