Biography – I’m a professional landscape photographer based in the southern Appalachian mountains of western North Carolina. Exploring and documenting the many unknown areas in the region is my primary passion with a camera.

Image Description – Brutal conditions were the name of the game on this particularly frigid morning in the Roan Highlands along the Appalachian Trail. Ambient temperature was just above 0°F and the wind chill was nearly 20 below.

Image Description – I find owls to be disturbing and was a bit taken aback when I glanced out the window to find him peering in the house as if to ask “Hey. What’s going on?”
